  • madeleine-smith-april-05Madeleine Smith is a popular dance caller who learned her art from some outstanding teachers, including Pat Shaw and Ethel Anderson for English country dancing and Sam Sherry and Pat Tracey for Lancashire clog.  She wants to inspire the callers of tomorrow to learn about our English traditions.
  • Junction 24 is a North London based three piece band, roving fiddle, keyboards and drums, previously known as Hoedown. They have a great swing to their music as they venture into big band sounds – lifts the Nottingham Swing to new heights.Watch for the tag ‘Junction 24 in dance mode‘, they play for both Ceilidh and dance events, they’re just as good playing in dance mode but you might get/need a different set of dancers!

  • Interval entertainment will be something completely new to the Ruff, neither singing nor dancing.
